I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and our trip to Switzerland was no different. Tucked away in the mountains in Grimentz sits a coliving space –Swiss Escape. Clean, immaculate—the place where you go to get shit done. Which could be hard, given the stunning view right outside the window. But the week that we visited was a gloomy one. Gray, foggy, cold. We weren’t daydreaming about hikes through the Alps or stargazing at the local observatory; instead, we were unshakably focused on client lists and design details. And because we were alone in the chalet, it ended up being the perfect week for being hardcore productive. It allowed us to come this close to launching the new-and-improved Cowork Unite in Switzerland. Had we been anywhere else in the world, I’m not sure we would have accomplished as much as we did. Needless to say, it was with a heavy heart that we left Grimentz after an all-too-brief five day stay. Not only was it a very successful trip, but Swiss Escape’s cofounders, Fanny and Haz, are probably two of the kindest, most accommodating individuals I have ever met, and the quaint, quirky history of the village was simply charming. Combine all of that with the absolutely breathtaking view of the Swiss Alps and you’ll want to start planning your Swiss Escape, too. Oh, and don’t forget to get fondue when you do visit. I cannot emphasize that enough.
